HOTBC Round Two Results!

August 7, 2017

We've completed Round Two of the 2017 Heart of Texas Blues Challenge at Antone's Nightclub, with another evening of terrific performances!

The Solo/Duo competitors were the first to take to the stage – they were all well received by the assembled blues fans! Our Round Two performers were:

•  Elijah Zane

•  Granvil Poynter

•  Will Jones

After careful consideration, our judges selected Granvil Poynter as the Round Two Solo/Duo winner!

The band competition followed. The four bands participating in this round were:

•  Rochelle & The Sidewinders

•  The Tony Rodriguez Band

•  The Patrons

•  Yabanada

The scoring was very tight – these bands gave their all!  After the votes were tallied, Rochelle & The Sidewinders came out on top as the Round Two Band winner!

Both of the Round Two winners now advance to the Finals, which will be held at Antone's on Tuesday, August 8th.

We'd like to thank each of these talented artists for participating in this year's challenge. The audience was engaged and enthusiastic throughout the evening, and we look forward to seeing each of these performers again!

Our thanks also go out to our distinguished panel of judges for Round Two:
