    M. Edmund Howse has been enthusiastically videotaping music in Austin for many years. He is immediately recognizable as he moves between his video cameras, tweaking settings and positioning. The Austin Blues Society appreciates the time and effort that Marv has put into documenting the Austin music scene, especially local blues musicians. The museum has created a Collection, The Contributions of East Austin African-American Musicians to Texas Music, that includes the musicians that have made a notable contribution to Blues Music from Austin’s East Side.

  • Sarah Brown Needs A Liver Transplant

    Sarah Brown is a blues warrior. She has played with everyone from Albert Collins to Stevie Ray Vaughan and played many years in the prestigious Antone's house band. She has been dealt a very bad hand and is suffering from a rare liver disease. The only cure is a liver transplant. Please read her attached CaringBridge post, which will explain the process to help her get a new liver. Keep Sarah in your thoughts and help when you can.
