In an effort to promote ABS member artists and local talent, and to provide for our membership's desire for blues related events, the Austin Blues Society strives to create partnerships with organizations and venues who wish to join us in our mission.
If you'd like the Austin Blues Society to participate with you at your event we have several options.
ABS member artists showcase their talent at your venue and we promote the Austin Blues Society.
We promote your event to our membership in exchange for the opportunity to have a presence at your event, usually by setting up a merchandise table to distribute information and provide opportunities for people to speak with us about joining the Austin Blues Society.
Part of our mission is to preserve the American musical heritage of the blues. Educational opportunities for people young and old can be greatly enhanced by the insights and talents of our members, artists and leadership. If you have an educational opportunity and you'd like our help in highlighting the history of the blues in Austin, we're ready to assist!
If you have other ideas you'd like to propose, we're open to considering any and all requests.
In order to coordinate all event requests, we ask that you follow the submission process outlined below.
Fill out the online ABS Event Request below. The board will consolidate all requests received for consideration at the next scheduled board meeting, which is the third Tuesday of each month. You will be contacted within a week after the board meeting to let you know whether the board can accomodate your request.
We ask that you try to allow two months from the date you submit your request to the event date. This will give us time to approve your event and to coordinate any necessary resources.
If you need to cancel your event request, please provide a 48-hour minimum cancellation notice.
